Special announcement!
Tomorrow is the Brandywine Valley SPCA's annual Walk for Paws event!
In lieu of a Hope Hero feature this month, I want to share with you a bit about this incredible organization and the work it does. I've been a volunteer here since 2014, and although the amount of time I serve these days is wayyy less than it was back then (thanks, children...lol) I still try to help in whatever ways I can whenever possible. Tomorrow, I'll get to lead the "Yoga with Puppies" and I can't even contain my excitement, it's going to be awesome! Over the years, I've gotten to know hundreds of different dogs and have gotten to volunteer alongside the most amazing individuals. It is truly a special place and their reach & impact keeps growing.
If you're not familiar with Brandywine Valley SPCA, their mission is to put the “human” back in humane animal treatment and to advocate on the behalf of animals. They're a recognized leader in animal welfare that empowers communities to treat life with respect and dignity. Each year, BVSPCA cares for nearly 19,000 animals and finds homes or other placement for at least 95% of the homeless pets that arrive at the shelter. Through their dedication to maintaining an open door policy for all animals and their commitment to lifesaving and second chances, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is working tirelessly to cultivate a no-kill community.

I hope to share some photos from the event tomorrow to my social media page - keep an eye out for my stories if you want to see some really cute pups!😊
UPDATE*** unfortunately the forecast is not in our favor and yoga with puppies won't get to happen. The event time has also changed, to 9:00-10:30am.The run & walk will still take place despite the rain, and it should still be a great - albeit wet - time!😊
